We are seeking a dependable Loadout Operator for a fixed Ammann asphalt plant. This position is responsible for managing asphalt loadout and performing routine plant duties to support safe, efficient production.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and willing to perform hands-on work around hot materials and heavy equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loadout & Scale Operations
- Operate silo loadout systems to safely load asphalt into haul trucks
- Manage loadout/weigh scale operations, including weighing trucks and issuing load tickets
- Verify correct mix design, tonnage, destination, and temperature before releasing loads
- Communicate with plant operator regarding production needs and silo availability
- Direct truck drivers for safe positioning and efficient traffic flow
- Maintain accurate loadout, scale, and production records
Plant Labor & Cleanup Duties
- Clean diverter flaps, chutes, and transfer points as needed
- Perform silo cleaning and removal of buildup to maintain proper material flow
- Assist with RAP dryer and virgin aggregate dryer cleaning
- Remove asphalt buildup around the loadout area and plant components
- Support routine preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks
- Identify and report equipment issues or unsafe conditions

| Skills/Experience Needed: | Qualifications
- Prior asphalt plant or construction materials experience preferred
- Familiarity with asphalt loadout and scale systems a plus
- Basic computer skills for ticketing and scale software
- Willingness to perform physical labor in an industrial environment
- Strong communication skills with operators, drivers, and supervisors
- Ability to work long hours, nights, and weekends during peak season
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Ammann plants not required but preferred
- Knowledge of asphalt mixes, RAP systems, and silo operations
- OSHA or MSHA training
- Radio communication experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work around hot asphalt, dust, and moving equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and ladders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
