Maintains direct daily contact with contractor/s representatives, foreman and hospital staff affected by construction.

High School Graduate plus 2-year degree in related construction field and/or a minimum eight (8) years of building construction experience required.

Must have excellent customer services skills and client-relationship development skills, able to lead and work as part of a team, and have excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills.

Sales Manager

Porta Kleen



Job Function: The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting and generating sales of Porta Kleen products and services to potential and existing customers within an assigned territory. Target markets include construction, manufacturing, industrial, municipal and events in general.

Essential Functions

  • Work within an assigned territory to maximize Porta Kleen's strategic market presence. Leverage business contacts and an "on-site" presence to differentiate ourselves from our competition.
  • Generate leads by identifying companies or "targets" that might be interested in Porta Kleen's equipment or services by using available resources.
  • Identify potential customers from these leads, consistent with Porta Kleen's market and business objectives.
  • Investigate and qualify your prospect to familiarize yourself with the key decision maker, the organization, their needs and means in preparing for your initial contact.
  • While building rapport, plan and execute sales calls and presentations to potential or current customers by identifying their needs, "pains" - Who, What, Where, When, How, etc.
  • Build solutions based proposals and provide detailed, accurate and timely quotes that are consistent with Porta Kleen's policies.
  • Using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods, communicate our proposal directly to the key decision maker either in person or by phone.
  • Handle price objections and negotiate terms and conditions with customers. Finalize needs and pricing.
  • Secure the customer's commitment, execute contracts, process orders, manage client's payment status, and follow-up when required.
  • Using available technology (CRM) to maintain detailed and timely records of all sales activity. Be prepared to report on sales status on a regular basis.
  • Achieve agreed upon revenue and profit goals.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations through follow-up contacts and interaction, i.e. phone, e-mail, attending key events, etc.

Quality Control Field Technician

Job Description: This position provides technical support for ready mix plants, plant lead positions and customers to determine product suitability for use on projects. Essential responsibilities include quality control related duties of project management in a delivery territory. It is essential to maintain a commitment to the company mission and vision through exemplary leadership style and with a strong focus on the core company values.

Job Duties:

  • Monitor and help develop ready mix plant mix testing program. This includes daily air content, slump and yield testing of mixes at ready mix plants. Review of new mix design weights in plant computers is also essential.
  • Calibration and upkeep of all testing equipment.
  • Complete documentation of testing is required.
  • Calibration of plant moisture probes and reporting of when they need maintenance.
  • bility to solve practical math problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Maintain ACI field testing technician certification.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with plant lead positions, mixer drivers, third party testing personnel and customers. This includes daily documentation of contact with customers and unusual circumstances that could affect concrete performance.
  • Monitor commercial and residential customers/projects in your area that require QC attention. Review daily orders in your territory. Make regular stops on jobsites we are supplying, to verify customer satisfaction and mix performance.
  • Keep to a minimum and work to eliminate loads lost due to non-conformance in your territory.
  • Immediately report production/jobsite issues that place the company at substantial risk of correction costs.
  • Work with Quality Control Manager and/or sales to resolve customer complaints in your territory. Must be available to make service calls relating to this during off hours.
  • Work with plant lead position in your territory to assure quality of product and service. Support truck routing and maintain spacing through communication with all departments.
  • Work with dispatch department in daily scheduling of business to assure that all production requirements can be met.
  • Assist in training of drivers on recognizing proper slump of concrete. This extends to observing proper procedures for loading, mixing and washing down of ready mix trucks.
  • Willingness and able to assist in mix design lab as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to perform moderate physical work for extended hours.
  • Report issues that could jeopardize company equipment or customer relationships to supervision.
  • Work in a team environment and assist co-workers with other duties as required.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
  • Reliable attendance is essential in performing this role. Must be available to work off hours, at night and weekends. Long hours can be expected.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, customers and the general public at all times.
