We are searching for a Sales & Marketing Executive to help grow our business. This position is responsible for servicing and building relationships with existing customers, seeking new potential customers, and promoting hot-dip galvanizing to the construction, engineering and architectural communities. You will work cohesively with our operations team to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. The position will report to our galvanizing facility in Columbus, Ohio. Travel is required to service and expand our target market. (i.e., Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Successfully represent and market hot dip galvanizing to prospective clients
  • Build and develop strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Generate and manage new business using leads, networking, tradeshows and conferences
  • Identify and develop new customer opportunities and project work within the designated territory
  • Formulate and execute effective sales strategies that result in continued growth in market share
  • Represent the company at industry-related local and national trade shows and conferences
  • Maintain accurate documentation and client records
  • Organize and present to architects and engineers through lunch and learn seminars

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years sales experience
  • Knowledge in manufacturing, steel or construction is preferred
  • Willingness to learn and embrace the hot-dip galvanizing industry
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, team environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to follow tasks through to completion
  • The ability to manage and generate your own and company provided leads
  • Strong networking skills along with prospecting and business development experience is required
  • Consultative, educational or solution-based sales experience
  • Must be willing to travel both locally and overnight

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently diagnose malfunctions in all types of commercial flooring including but not limited to Tile, VCT, Sheet Vinyl, Carpet and Hardwood
  • Repair commercial flooring using complex repair techniques
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers during all phases of project
  • Maintain service vehicle through approved vendors (i.e. oil changes, wiper blades, etc.)
  • Complete necessary paperwork and communication before, during and after service call

Procurement

  • Develop bidders list, including ability to analyze information in CPS and be aware of local market capabilities.
  • Develop overall bidding strategy for project.
  • Manage distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders, including solicitation of bidders and management of data within CPS.
  • Organize and conduct pre-bid meetings.
  • Manage bidder question process
    •Manage development of work scopes and mentor others on their creation.
  • Develop front end documents for bidding based on project needs and requirements of owner contract.
  • Receive/evaluate bids and conduct post-bid reviews.

Planning

  • Ensure RFIs and submittals are being appropriately processed by the engineering staff.
  • Ensure office procedures are implemented, including filing system, correspondence formats, start-up documents, closeout documents, and archiving.
  • Manage ultimate agency acceptance of project, including serving as interface to code officials.
  • Involvement in seeking repeat and new business sales.
  • Assist with response to RFPs and preparation of presentation for new projects.
  • Manage jobsite relations and communicate needs with Architect/Engineer.

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline

The Superintendent manages fairly complex stand-alone projects from start to finish. This position manages day-to-day operations at the jobsite unaided, receiving guidance/counsel on complex issues. The Superintendent supervises and coordinates various contractors to ensure their contracts are fulfilled on schedule, in accordance with plans and specifications, which ensuring a quality product for the owner. The Superintendent oversees the construction effort to ensure the project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule, directly supervises the field labor force, manages the owner and subcontractor relationships and is responsible for directing and mentoring onsite staff.



Responsibilities:

  • Prepares detailed and timely daily reports. Incorporates/reviews subcontractor’s daily reports for issues, coordination and claim avoidance.
  • Assists with development of work scopes and front end documents for bidding to create clear and concise scopes of work, assists with bid process, including participation in post-bid interviews and answering bidder questions, identifies potential contractors to bid based on project requirements and ability to perform intended scope
  • Enforces corporate safety policies on jobsite, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field*
  • Ensures project rules and procedures are maintained and checks progress and quality of work being performed*
  • Observes and interfaces with contractors or trades to enforce responsibilities, monitor work performance and productivity, and coordinate project changes*
